Modeling and Analysis of a Machining Robot Cell with ⲖPN

This paper proposes a new approach for modeling and analyzing faults within a machining robot cell. Therefore we decided to use a hybrid analysis associating a Petri Net (PN) to a Fault Tree, resulting in a new technique called Lambda Petri Net (lPN). This work has been implemented in the LabView environment (Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench). Lambda Petri Net showed its modeling power for the developed monitoring system. Lambda Petri Nets in fault analysis allow natural language descriptions of process entities. A graphical method is used to describe the relationships between conditions and events. Mathematical generic properties have been used to validate our whole research technique. The simulations and results obtained from the state of the operating system without and with fault are presented and discussed.
