This work presents a study on the reliability, availability, maintenance and safety of the VITRONICS SOLTEC DELTA X welding machine. These include examining fault patterns, evaluating the effectiveness of maintenance means, and suggesting improvements. An FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) analysis is used in this study to identify the most important failure patterns, a Pareto diagram to determine the main causes of failure, and a statistical analysis of the major causes. According to the results, electrical and heating elements are the most vulnerable to failure. The implementation of regular preventive maintenance programmes and the use of advanced monitoring technologies for predictive maintenance are recommendations. The implementation of these recommendations aims to enhance the performance and operational safety of the DELTA X machine.
