Conference Topics > Special session✪ Special session: New Metaheuristics Inspired by Nature - Focus on the Algerian ContextOrganizers:
Abstract:Metaheuristics inspired by behaviors present in nature are algorithmic approaches that are inspired by natural phenomena, behaviors observed in nature or biological mechanisms. By referencing and imitating natural processes to find effective solutions, these methods aim to solve complex problems where an exhaustive search of all possible solutions is infeasible due to the size of the search space. Nowadays, optimization techniques based on metaheuristics have become very popular for solving difficult problems, for which exact methods are reaching their limits. Examples of nature-inspired metaheuristics include: Genetic Algorithms (GA), Particle Swarms Optimizer (PSO), Ant Colonies Optimizer (ACO), Gray Wolf Optimizer (GWO), Simulated Annealing (SA), etc. These optimization techniques have been successfully applied to a wide range of real-world problems. This session is devoted to research based on the use of methaheuristics in the broad sense and strongly encourages participants to develop and submit new metaheuristics drawing inspiration from Fauna (animal species), Flora (plant species) and Algerian nature. Proposals relating to the Maghreb and African environment are also welcome. Additionally, contributions in the form of feedback and testing are strongly encouraged. Our ambition is to bring together researchers (and students) around innovative ideas using new approaches, leading to the creation of new optimization algorithms inspired by nature and making it possible to solve industrial engineering problems, health or other areas. We welcome contributions aimed at solving problems related to, but not limited to, the following research areas: Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Keywords:Metaheuristics, Optimization, Biomimicry, ACO, PSO.
