Analysis of the Effects of Crack Location on the Fracture Behavior of Mechanically Stressed Pipelines Repaired with Composite Patches
1 : LMPM
This study employs the finite element method to analyze the fracture stress distribution in pipelines repaired with composite patches. Key factors examined include the crack location and fiber orientation within the composite patch. The impact of these factors on damage propagation and repair effectiveness is assessed. Additionally, the stress distribution in the adhesive layer is analyzed to estimate the durability of the repair technique. The study further evaluates the effectiveness of the repair by varying the debonding zones within the adhesive layer.
